TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER
100 BLOCK OF WEST SECOND STREET
BETWEEN S. WASHINGTON & CANARIS STREETS
In an effort to reduce some of the congestion at the intersection of S. Washington and Water Street (created by the bridge construction just north of that intersection), the Constantine Village Council has approved a Temporary Traffic Order to allow two-way traffic in the 100 block of West Second Street. This action will allow traffic on Canaris Street, and vehicles exiting the west parking lot behind the businesses on S. Washington, to turn west on to Second Street. The order will remain in effect at least until the construction is completed and traffic on Washington Street can resume normal.
Second Street is too narrow to accommodate two-way traffic plus vehicles parked on the curb between Washington and Canaris, so with the advent of two-way traffic on West Second, we have also installed no parking signs which prohibit parking on either side of the road.
West of Canaris, West Second will remain a one-way road, so the One-Way / Do Not Enter signs will remain at the intersection of Cass and West Second streets.
